Joutishman Dutta
Joutishman Dutta, currently serving as the Managing Trustee of down town Charity Trust, is an MBA in finance from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Sciences Mumbai.
He is part of the founding team behind setting up of the Assam down Town University. The university today is one of the largest education campuses in the region with 50 programs and almost 6000 students.
Besides the University the trust is actively involved in several livelihood and skill projects across the region training over 3000 students annually. With all its projects today in a short period of time the trust is one of the largest non-government organisation in the region with over 800 staff and various initiatives.
He is now driving the future expansion of the organisation in new skill centres, research centres, Agri based projects and educational projects across the region.
He is actively involved in mentoring and incubating new ideas and companies. He is the founder behind the idea of down town venture labs, an incubation centre fully self-financed by the group. It is recognized today by DIPP and also accorded projects by MEITY. Today the group has actively invested and partnered with one business model and is working to expand it. Many more are in the pipeline.
Being part of a local business group in the region he is very passionate about local businesses and supporting and setting up local businesses.
Besides involved in the down town group he is also actively involved in CII and has served as Chair of the CII YI Guwahati Chapter.
Service to be Provided: To mentor in the areas of Education, Training, Construction, Healthcare and Incubation.
