Nandinee Kalita
Nandinee Kalita is an MBA from Guwahati University and a career professional with over 37 years of experience. She started her career as a Management Trainee with HDFC in 1988 and later moved to the Confederation of Indian Industry to head Assam and North East operations. She was endowed with the responsibility of setting up and sustaining CII operations in the Region. This presented her with a slew of opportunities to build strong government relations, understand the nuances of the entrepreneurial and Industrial ecosystem, drive policy issues, and open up avenues for entrepreneurship development and services.
She later moved to CII Headquarters in Delhi, with additional responsibilities to work extensively with State Governments of NER at the highest level, Central Government Ministries and Nodal and Multilateral agencies.
As a desk head of Services, FMCG, Retail, Sports, and Senior care, she provided leadership to the Confederation's activities in these sectors pan-India. Her career has taken her through business, government, civil society, and media and strengthened her understanding of how these stakeholders lend in nation building, both individually and in collective capacity. This has helped her hone her skills in ideation, conceptualising business plans, training, mentoring & capacity building. She has represented India in various international fora like the WTO and ASEAN, and was a part of International Business Delegations to many countries.

Post CII, as an Executive Director in ASLI (Association of Senior Living), she was responsible for building up the association’s framework and developing linkages with the stakeholders. She was also the Deputy Director General for FINER
She is a trainer, mentor and offers consultancy services
Currently, she is a member of the Women’s Committee in the Indian Chamber of Commerce, a Member, India Women Network and a General Body Member of the North East Network, a rights association from Guwahati. She is also a columnist for the Assam Tribune
