On 14th September 2022, a masterclass on “A Career in Banking and Finance” was organized by Margdarshak Advisory mainly for the summer interns. Dr. Sameer Baruah, a notable financial expert & a retired General Manager, Indian Overseas Bank was the speaker for the session.
Dr. Baruah spoke about how banking & finance sector has seen significant changes over the years and cited its growing prospects in career & business. He talked about the importance of self-employment and how the rapidly changing economy is demanding more of job creators than job seekers. He further spoke about the scope of finance in rural development and its positive impact on the economy.
We also had the privilege of having Mr. Pranab Dutta, who is one of the co-founders of Fortune Wings ( a Financial Investment firm) and he talked about financial literacy and its importance in today’s world. He stressed on creating awareness about financial planning and that people should start investing at an early stage to secure their future.
During the end of the session, we distributed the internship certificates to the students. The interns urged more of such sessions on another topic as they found it very informative and helpful.
