Margdarshak Advisory organised a participatory webinar on "Entrepreneurship through Innovation and Inspiration" to commemorate the celebration of 75th years of Indian Independence "Azadi ki Amrit Mahotsav" sponsored by SIDBI and NSS, Cell, GU as Knowledge partner on 5th December 2021.
The event began by the Welcome Address by the note delivered by Mr. Amit Kr Jain, Chairman, Margdarshak Advisory. In his note he expressed his thoughts on the importance of organizing Financial Literacy related sessions. He also mentioned the role of Intermediatory organizations like Margdarshak Advisory who is working relentlessly to improve the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem of NER. Mr. S. R. Meena, DGM & Regional Head, SIDBI, expressed his happiness for the event and shared his valuable inputs for the same. He mentioned about a 2-Crore Collateral Free Financial Packages available for Entrepreneurs of NER. Also, he expressed his interest in organizing more such awareness sessions about the financial products under SiDBi though Margdarshak Advisory for the North-Easter Region. Repose famed Mr. Anupam Deka, Director, SRD Group of Companies, Mangaldoi shared his part of the journey and how he was able to overcome multiple hurdles though a persistent effort. Dr. Ranjan Kumar Kakati, Director Students Welfare and Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell Gauhati University also shared their valuable thoughts and experiences on the theme. Dr. Kakati expressed his interest in creating awareness on Financial Literacy amongst the NSS Members. Also, he pointed out that there needs to be a simplified loan sanctioning process at place for the entrepreneurs from the rural sector who at many times are not aware on the complete process or the related compliances.
The main attraction was first ever women Olympic Bronze medallist from Assam, Ms. Lovelina Bargohain. She narrated her journey of struggle to achieve her desired goals. More than 70 youths, faculty and aspiring entrepreneurs who participated with direct conversation with their role model Lovelina and got immensely inspired and benefited. Other participants prayed for her target of 2024 Olympic GOLD Medal. After the deliberations, in the most wanted interactive session, there were numbers of questions raised by Youth and other members present and were duly addressed by the experts. Dr. Samir Baruah, a senior member of Margdarshak Advisory shared his views of organizing multi-stakeholder talks between Entrepreneurs, Representatives from the Banking sector and SiDBi. These talks would bring about lot of micro level insights regarding creation of suitable financial products and also the ground level reality of implementing the same. The entire event was effectively moderated by Ms. Rihtika Baruah, Founder of Freebirds and a member of Margdarshak Advisory. Ms. Rithika is an experienced Entrepreneur in the field of Community Development and has an experience of working in more than 36 countries.
The event was technically hosted by Mr. Swapnanil Talukdar, Project Manager, Margdarshak Advisory and has been awarded for Innovation by two of the former Presidents of India. He delivered the Vote of Thanks for the event. Overall, it was an effective, absorbing and interesting initiatives. It will be a continuous process.
