Col Dipak Kumar Chakrabarty served in the Indian Army for 26 years. He participated in IPKF conflict in Sri Lanka and the Kargil War. After taking voluntary retirement from the army in 1999 Col. Chakravarty became a businessman. He started Citronella cultivation in Dolgoma with help Sri Santilal Jain of Rajapara, by establishing an NGO. It was a successful venture. After gaining experience in few more business ventures, he established Veteran Group Companies in 2006. The company is involved in providing private security services including electronic security and facilities management service. It is a pan India company now . In 2018 we added Veteran Urban garden service in Guwahati with aim of encouraging Guwahatian specially the flat owners to grow organic vegetables in their home. His company helps in designing, planning and helping the owner to start the garden and also provides AMC. It is a successful venture
